Curator Terms

These Curator Terms (“Terms”) govern your role as a Curator on the Chosen ad network (https://chosen.ad), operated by Banche Labs, Inc. (“Banche Labs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

You become a Curator when you select ads for a scope (such as a profile, page, or property) through the Chosen ad network. If you access Chosen through a Platform (such as TasteMaker), you may have agreed to these Terms through the Platform’s own terms of service. If you access Chosen directly as a Publisher, you agreed to these Terms when you registered.

1. Your Role

A Curator has the authority to choose which ad appears on a specific scope. You browse a curated selection set and pick the ad that best fits your property and audience. The final selection is always yours.

You are not required to evaluate every option in the selection set. You may select quickly or deliberately. You are not penalized for your choice.

2. Selection Cycles

Chosen operates on recurring selection cycles. During each cycle, you are presented with a new selection set.

  • You may make or change your selection at any time during the cycle.
  • If you do not make a selection before the cycle deadline, one will be assigned automatically based on availability.
  • Auto-assigned ads are not punitive. They ensure your scope always displays an ad, maintaining continuity for your audience and for advertisers.

3. What You See

Each selection set contains a limited number of ad creatives, each with an associated compensation value. Chosen’s algorithms determine which ads appear in your set based on your scope’s characteristics and the available ad inventory. You choose from the options presented.

You do not control which ads enter your selection set. You control which one you select.

4. Compensation

Each ad in your selection set shows what you earn for choosing it. Compensation values vary by ad and may change between cycles. By selecting an ad, you accept the compensation associated with that selection.

Compensation is paid in Chosen credits. Credits may be spent on advertising your own content through the network, or cashed out according to the terms of your Publisher or Platform agreement.

5. Your Obligations

As a Curator, you agree to:

  • Display the selected ad. Once you select an ad, it must be displayed on your scope for the duration of the cycle. Do not hide, obscure, or modify the ad creative.
  • Not misrepresent engagement. Do not generate artificial impressions, clicks, or interactions with ads on your scope (click fraud). Do not incentivize others to click on ads.
  • Label ads as advertising. Ads must be clearly identifiable as advertising to your audience, consistent with applicable law (including FTC guidelines).
  • Comply with content standards. Your scope must comply with Chosen’s Acceptable Use Policy. Chosen may restrict which ads are available to scopes that contain sensitive content.

6. Data Collection

Chosen collects data about your selection behavior and ad engagement on your scope to operate the network and improve ad matching. This includes:

  • Which ads you are presented with and which you select
  • Selection timing, examination patterns, and click-through during selection
  • Published-phase impressions, clicks, and engagement on your scope
  • Your scope’s characteristics and audience engagement patterns

This data is used to curate future selection sets, estimate ad value, and improve matching. For full details, see the Chosen Privacy Policy.

7. No Guaranteed Ads

Chosen does not guarantee that any particular ad will appear in your selection set, or that ads of any particular type or compensation level will be available. Ad availability depends on advertiser supply, algorithmic matching, and network conditions.

8. Modification and Termination

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will use best efforts to notify you (or your Platform) at least one month before material changes take effect.

We may suspend or terminate your Curator access at any time for violation of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or at our discretion. Your Platform may also restrict your Curator access according to their own terms.

9. Relationship to Platform Terms

If you access Chosen through a Platform, these Curator Terms supplement your Platform’s terms of service. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and your Platform’s terms regarding ad-related matters, these Curator Terms control.
